Log a service disruption

For Senior, Manager, Owner

  1. Open Home, then Service Disruption Log. Tap Log a disruption (Add on a phone).
  2. Choose what failed: a utility, the fire alarm or a safety device, the call system, a lift or other equipment, or unsafe staffing.
  3. Put in when it started, with the time as 24-hour hh:mm, whether it’s still going, and what’s been done.
  4. Tap Save. When it’s back, tap Record when it ended on its row and put in the date and time. Seniors, Managers and the Owner can.

Unsafe staffing, or a utility, fire alarm, safety device or call system out for more than 24 hours, puts a CQC notification on Statutory Notifications for a Manager to decide. One still open is chased overnight.

When it’s done

You see “Row added”. If it may need telling CQC, the save says so.

If it doesn’t work

  • It won’t save the time: type it as 24-hour hh:mm, like 14:30.
  • You can’t find the log: it’s open to Seniors, Managers and the Owner. Staff: tell the person in charge.
