All the guides

Link an old entry to the resident it’s about

For Senior, Manager, Owner

  1. Open Home, then Residents. Needs linking, under the list, says how many entries were saved with initials that match nobody, or more than one person.
  2. Tap Show them. Each one says where it is, its date and what was typed.
  3. Tap Link to a resident, search for the resident by name or room, and pick them. Then tap Link.
  4. On a register you can do the same from the entry itself: tap the row, then Link to a resident under Resident.

What was typed stays as it is. The entry shows the resident’s name from now on, and anything that leaves the app still shows their initials.

When it’s done

You see “Linked to the resident.”, and the entry leaves Needs linking.

If it doesn’t work

  • There’s no Needs linking: every entry is linked, or matched by its initials.
  • The right person isn’t on the list: tap Someone who has left. A visitor or relative can’t be linked: tap Keep as typed: someone not on the list.
Needs linking on Residents, with an entry and Link to a resident.
